The Company is a subsidiary of the Madison Financial Services Company of Zambia which in turn is a member of the LSA Group of Companies. The LSA Group is a diversified holding company with interests in the financial sector, tourism and property development to name a few. MGen Tanzania was registered in 2006 but its related company in Zambia (Madison General) was the first private insurance company in Zambia after liberalization of the market in 1992
